Broad Industry Coalition Urges Administration to Withdraw USPTO Proposed Rules

Today, a broad coalition of organizations representing diverse industries sent a letter to the Administration urging the withdrawal of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s proposed rulemaking, which would effectively eliminate access to Inter Partes Review (IPR) in nearly all cases.
Instead of strengthening the patent system and promoting innovation, the proposal would revive the large-scale abusive patent litigation campaigns that for years drained resources, stifled investment, and hurt businesses of all sizes.
